About Me

Protecting the rights, independence, and savings of clients since 1999.

Richard L. Shea has practiced law in Connecticut since 1999. He received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Western Connecticut State University and graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Law with honors. While at Quinnipiac, he served two years as a member of the Quinnipiac Probate Law Journal.

Attorney Shea began his career with small firms and dedicated the majority of his practice to estate planning, elder law, and tax issues. In 2004 he successfully launched his own practice founded on providing high quality legal representation with the accessibility and personal relationship of a small firm.

Throughout his career Richard Shea has saved families millions of dollars in taxes and nursing home costs. His multi-disciplinary approach brings together all of the relevant perspectives and advisors to create a “big picture” solution that includes all of the moving parts rather than focus on only the legal side. Today, he continues to bring his unique philosophy of macro planning, personal attention, and comprehensive solutions to help his clients achieve their goals and alleviate their concerns.

Attorney Shea is a member of the Hartford County Bar Association. He is also a frequent participant in Connecticut's pro bono program, The Law Works for People, and the Connecticut Non-Profit Pro Bono Initiative
