Title 19 Brochure
Anyone facing a Medicaid Title 19 situation or application in Connecticut during the next few years should take a minute to look at this brochure from the Department of Social Services. It provides a good overview of the program. The one item I would clarify in the brochure is the counted asset limit is $1,600.00 to qualify for Title 19 benefits in Connecticut. In some cases, your attorney can advise you on various techniques available to make some or all of your assets not fall into the category of “counted assets.”
